As a county councilor I would like to enhance the expertise, available to the county council of South Karelia on such topics as:

  • Promotion of transparency of decission-making
  • Use of open source software to reduce digital infrastructure expenses
  • Digitization of healthcare and rescue services
  • Promotion of quality services to population with international background

Besides that, I plan to actively support and propose such measures, that reduce gender, nationality, racial or language discrimination and promote direct democracy. I.e. if elected I will propose and support:

  • Better communication with disabled persons and non-Finnish speakers
    • Supplementing video records of council meetings with machine-readable subtitles.
    • Mandatory translation of agenda of upcoming council meetings into English.
  • Better feedback and direct democracy tools
    • I.e. regular questionnaires of residents, that should be used as indicators for quality of municipality-provided services.
